Oppy and JAZZ apples joined U.S. Vice President Joe Biden at the annual Beau Biden Memorial Trail Race in Delaware’s Brandywine Valley in mid March—raising funds and awareness for the late Beau Biden’s crusade to stand up and speak out for children suffering abuse.
At the start of the 5 and 10 K race, which supported the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children, Vice President Biden joined the singing of the national anthem. The Vice President was moved to tears as he spoke of the efforts of those present to help advance his son’s commitment to stop child abuse.

Oppy chairman, president and CEO John Anderson joined Ernst and Young’s other 2015 Canadian Entrepreneurs of the Year to open the market at the Toronto Stock Exchange on November 25.

Last week, leading Peruvian grower-exporter Camposol became the first to ship blueberries to Canada, following the announcement opening the market to blues grown in the Andean country earlier this month.
