The high-tech greenhouse expansion will double the capacity of SunSelect’s original 32-acre Tehachapi facility, which opened in October 2014.

Oppy’s greenhouse business just got a boost with the addition of category expert Justin Ruta to the company’s Newark, Del.-based sales team.

First shipments of the legendary vine-ripes rolled away from Oceanside on June 27, following an excellent growing season for the esteemed Southern California tomato producer Harry Singh Jr.

With the help of many San Diego County fire fighters, Oceanside Pole tomatoes remain untouched by the wildfires ravaging the area. Back fires were started at the perimeter of the field, buring all the vegetation fueling the fire. There still are fires burning in San Diego but nothing that seems to be an immediate risk to the farm. Temperatures are mercifully dropping into the 70s this week.
