Vancouver, B.C. ―Momentum continues to build in the Oppenheimer Group’s berry category, with fruit grown in the Golden State making its debut in the Oppy label this week.
The full-service produce marketer is currently shipping conventional strawberries from Coachella and Oxnard, with organic strawberries starting in February.
We have an apple for everyone at Oppy, including these effervescent, sweet Honeycrisp. Grown in Nova Scotia, available through mid-February.

First arrivals of Saturn white fleshed peaches into Miami show excellent color. 2 layer 5 kg boxes, PLU 3113. Saturn peaches feature a thin skin and a freestone pit, and are a sweeter-eating, less fuzzy variety than most. No need to peel, just dig in! Expect more arrivals over the next few weeks.

Following the discovery of the European grapevine moth, the USDA/PPQ created a federal order that ultimately put a halt to all vessel fruit out of three of the largest berry growing regions in Chile (about 80% total volumes to the U.S.). The federal order mandates that all blueberries grown in regions 6, 7, and 8 be fumigated before export to the U.S. Any fruit from other growing regions is subject to strenuous inspections both upon shipping and arrival, so delays are expected.
