It rained, but it didn’t rain on Oppy’s parade
For the second year, Oppy sponsored a hole at the McDonald’s Challenger Celebrity Golf Classic – the largest annual fundraiser for Challenger Baseball in BC. The Challenger Baseball program gives children with cognitive or physical disabilities the opportunity to enjoy all the benefits of playing organized baseball. The event has become well known as a fun filled day of “scramble” golf and socializing all while raising funds for great charities. Each foursome is teamed up with a local celebrity.
Our administrative assistant, Rhonda Leggett, and senior receptionist, Victoria Vancek, brought their energetic selves to the greens to promote healthy eating and hand out Oppy produce samples. The Oppy tent was favoured as the golfers remembered from last year. They looked forward to a healthy snack and Victoria’s now famous salsa. The salsa secret? Oppy’s fresh produce! A fun day for a noble cause.
