Oppy brings the heat to IFPA 2026

Oppy hit the ground running at this year’s IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show in Orlando, with a busy week that stretched well beyond the show floor. With a bigger booth this year and the return of the coffee bar, Oppy’s space proved to be a great place to catch up over a hot cup of joe. Avoworks had its own section of the booth again, complete with a digital avocado game that gave participants the chance to win Avoworks socks. The Avoworks and Oppy teams also spoke with trade media about the growing avocado category.

Oppy brands showed up beyond the booth too. The Blue Diamond sampling station outside the show floor stayed busy, while Soluna was featured in the New Product Showcase.

A few highlights from the week:

  • 275+ guests at the Oppy reception
  • 130+ meetings and dinners took place throughout the week
  • 25+ Oppy team members and growers registered for the 5K Race for a Better World
  • Oppy was recognized with an ECIP Leadership Circle Gold Star

And, as always, some of the best moments happened outside show hours. Hotel meeting suites were busy before the expo even opened, and at the Oppy huddle, the team recognized Francisco Avendaño of Agroretail for 25 years of partnership with Oppy.

The Oppy reception brought together growers, customers and partners for an evening that earned plenty of compliments for its venue in Disney Springs at Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, including the relaxed atmosphere and food, along with Chairman, CEO & Managing Partner John Anderson’s private reserve wine. A big thank you to Executive Business Partner Ambar Mota and Senior Executive Assistant Dee Homsavath for seamlessly coordinating the event.

The week also included the 5K Race for a Better World, spearheaded by Madie Johnson, with the Oppy team and growers hitting the course together in Oppy shirts. Director of Marketing Kelsey Van Lissum and Marketing Communications Specialist Sandra Ulewicz also attended the first-ever CPMA Passion for Produce alumni meet-up.

Responsible sourcing was in the spotlight as well. Sustainability Lead Angela Chan and Director of West Coast Sales Ben Vallejo attended the ECIP Leadership Circle 2027 reception, where Oppy joined other produce suppliers recognized for their commitment to responsible labor practices.

Angela also stopped by the Fair Trade USA booth for its “Tiny Mic” series, where she spoke about what Fair Trade means to her and to Oppy, as well as what she wishes more shoppers and retailers knew about it. Keep an eye out for the interview on Fair Trade USA’s social channels.

Thank you to everyone who helped plan, coordinate and attend IFPA this year, and to everyone who made time to connect with us in Orlando. Another great show in the books!
