The Opportunity
PART-TIME OPPORTUNITY! This is a terrific opportunity to join a dynamic team in a part-time role. We are looking for someone approximately 16-hours per week to support the payroll team with payroll and benefits administration. NOTE: This role is a hybrid on-site/remote role, hours/days of work to be discussed in the interview process.
As a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator you will assist with the administration, processing and reporting of Canadian and USA payroll, pension and benefits in accordance with applicable legislation, standards and practices. We are willing to train the right applicant in payroll and related tasks; however, a keen attention to detail, an interest and aptitude for numbers, and a strong system control orientation is required.
The expected hourly base rate for this position is $24.00 – $27.00/hr. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position based in our U.S. and Canada office locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors including location, job-related skills, relevant experience, education, formal training, and internal equity.
Accountabilities
- Verify employee related information for new hires, position changes, and terminations.
- Maintain and update employee information, such as addresses, bank information, benefit entitlement across various databases.
- Prepare semi-monthly and monthly payroll reports and financial entries.
- Assist in audits by maintaining accurate and meticulous records. Supports audits by pulling appropriate information as requested.
- Supports accurate time and attendance records by reviewing employee time and attendance records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with averaging agreements, Provincial, and State regulations.
- Administer employee benefits, enrollments, updates, and terminations, ensuring precise and timely processing throughout the entire benefits cycle.
- Perform monthly benefit reconciliation for both CA and US plans to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Other payroll duties as assigned.

- Educated. Accounting and/or payroll experience and related education is an asset.
