Nourishing our communities
At the heart of Oppy’s mission lies a deep-rooted dedication to delivering healthy food to the world. This commitment extends beyond the realm of commerce and resonates in our strong support for local food banks across North America. Over the years, it has manifested through donations of both food items and monetary contributions, fostering a positive impact on communities in need. Notable beneficiaries include the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, SHARE Society, LA Regional Food Bank and numerous others. Last year our cash donations totaled $5,000 to Canadian food banks and $8,000 to U.S. food banks.
These contributions are made possible through the dedicated efforts of people across Oppy who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities. “Our goal is to fortify charitable organizations committed to food security work in the neighborhoods our people call home,” explained VP of Talent & Culture and Chief People Officer Satri Alpine, underscoring our commitment to grassroots community support.
