Shaping the narrative at Oppy for more than two decades, Karin leads the overall marketing strategy and the team responsible for brand and product development initiatives, marketing communications strategies, and the translation of category analysis insights into effective sales tools―among other enterprises.
Promoted to her current role in 2019, Karin joined Oppy’s Seattle office in 1992 as public relations assistant and was appointed communications manager in 1998. She has since held roles such as marketing communications manager and director, corporate communications.
She was recognized as one of Produce Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 in 2006 and named along The Packer’s Women in Produce in 2011. Active with United Fresh and the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH), Karin served as the PBH Marketing Communications Committee chair from 2008 to 2009. More recently, she was a panel speaker and career ambassador for the Center for Growing Talent by the Produce Marketing Association.
Karin holds a degree in journalism from the University of Washington.
