VANCOUVER, B.C.— Two seasoned sales and marketing experts recently joined the ranks at the Oppenheimer Group.
Rob Campbell returned to Oppy as a Newark, Del.-based sales representative following eight years spent acquiring sales and procurement expertise in the berry category, among others. Campbell’s association with the company began in the late 1990s when he led a Zespri kiwifruit sampling team throughout the Eastern U.S. He also worked for Oppy in a quality control capacity for four years starting in 2001.
VANCOUVER, B.C. — ENZA Taylor’s Gold pears have added sparkle The Oppenheimer Group’s imported pear line-up for a decade and a half, but this season promises to be among the best ever, according to David Nelley, the marketer’s apple and pear category director.
VANCOUVER, B.C.— Ben Vallejo, a fifteen-year veteran with The Oppenheimer Group, was promoted to sales manager of the company’s Chino Hills, Calif. office April 1.
Vallejo, who had been an Oppy sales representative since 2007, now leads the seven-person team responsible for marketing the company’s products in the southwestern U.S., as well as national foodservice business development.
TORONTO, On. — Silly name. Serious flavor.
"That's a beautiful-looking fruit, and a potential game changer in the pear category," thought David Nelley, apple and pear category director for The Oppenheimer Group when he first saw the Papple™ PremP109. Oppy will give this New Zealand-bred cross between a European and Asian pear its commercial debut in North America at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association trade show today.
VANCOUVER, B.C. — Origin Organic Farms is adding a welcome splash of color to The Oppenheimer Group’s sweet B.C. bell pepper menu, and greater volume to accommodate market demand.
Building on last year’s trial season, the Delta-based grower has expanded four-fold, and added yellow and orange peppers to the mix. Oppy will begin shipping the full range of OriginO-branded organic peppers at the end of April.
